Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! I have performed at many corporate events for many world famous companies, including Netflix, Hyatt Hotels, Universal NBC, Paramount Pictures, Home Depot and The E-Sports Awards.

Magic can be utilized in many ways in the corporate world. In the past I’ve entertained staff at company holiday parties, performed for clients at customer appreciation events and used magic to generate leads at trade shows.

  • Yes! I’m originally from Belfast, Ireland. I now live and work in the USA.

  • Every magician has their own style. Some are quiet and mysterious, some are loud and abrasive. Some use volunteers, some are strictly performance only.

I would describe my style as relaxed and conversational, with a touch of playful Irish humor. Due to my extensive experience, I’m a confident performer who can seamlessly mingle in any social setting. For stage illusion shows, I increase my energy to command the attention of the larger audience sizes.

With the exception of my stage illusions which are performed with my assistant, all my magic is very interactive. The audience are always involved as volunteers, with the magic often happening right in their hands!

  • As far as I can! I love travelling for work and always jump at the chance to perform in different city, state or country.

If you’re based far away but are interested in hiring me, get in touch and we can discuss how to make it happen with your budget.

  • It’s never too early to enquire about your event, especially for October and December which are the busiest times for magicians.

Lots of clients book a few months in advance. For some events, like weddings, I’m often booked at least a year in advance.

That said, if your event is weeks or even days away please feel free to get in touch. You may get lucky if your event lines up with a gap in my schedule.

  • People often want a price quote immediately without providing information about their event.

Think of hiring a magician as being like hiring a wedding venue. The venue will want to know which day you want, how many guests, how many food courses, drink options etc.

Prices for a magician are based on similar variables. The price will always vary dramatically based on several criteria, such as:

Type of show - close-up magic at a birthday party will cost less than a stage show in a theater. This is because the stage show requires stagehands, transportation for illusions, a glamorous assistant and more preparation time.

Distance - travel costs will be calculated and factored into the price

Day of the week - Weekends ted to be the busiest time for magicians, so carry a premium in pricing.

Time of year - a magic show on New Years Eve at 11pm will cost more than a random Tuesday lunchtime in February.

Size of event - it takes longer to perform magic for 20 tables at a corporate holiday party, compared to ten guys at a bachelor party.

The quickest and easiest way to get a price estimate for your event is to use the contact form below. I guarantee my prices are extremely competitive!

  • Yes, I have full performer’s liability insurance. If your venue requires evidence I can provide a Certificate of Insurance covering their specific address.

  • The smallest group I was ever hired to perform for was a bachelorette party for 4 people. The largest was a stage illusion show for an audience of 350.

My style works perfectly for any audience size!

  • One of the beautiful things about magic is that it can be performed almost anywhere.

Here are just a few examples of venues I’ve performed at in the past:

    • homes

    • restaurants

    • movie studios

    • fire stations

    • airbnbs

    • nightclubs

    • hotels

    • theaters

    • golf clubs

    • museums

    • cinemas

    • offices

    • breweries

    • bars

    • escape rooms

  • I love hearing special request ideas from clients. Here are a few I’ve brought to life in the past:

    • a hotel owner hired me to pretend to be a waiter at a party for his investors. I started randomly performing magic with the drinks bottles before the big reveal was made that I was a plant. I then performed as myself for the rest of the evening.

    • A well-known commercials actor hired me to use magic tricks to determine the draft order for his friend group’s fantasy football league.

    • I made the CEO of a company appear magically on stage.

If you have an idea you want to incorporate, contact me and we’ll talk about how to make it happen!

  • Yes, I am indeed a member of the world famous Magic Castle club in Hollywood - the coolest venue in LA and possibly on the entire planet!

As it’s a private members club, access to non-magicians is only through invitation.

I only invite my friends, family members and customers…so if you would like an invitation your best bet is to somehow become one of those ;)

  • I started magic as a side hustle 20 years ago, and went full time in 2014.

In that time I’ve NEVER had to cancel a show.

I the highly unlikely event I can’t make a show, I have dozens of magician friends I will call on your behalf to check their availability, and to present to you to choose from as a replacement. Your deposit will also be refunded.
